What do I do?
In a nutshell, this is on a scale from checking your work for errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation, and correcting these, to ensuring it makes sense, flows well and is consistent. Proofreading is at the ‘lighter touch’ end of this scale and copyediting, at the other end, could include some rewriting.
